Last Wednesday I didn't post an update. First, I was hosting a leg of someone's blog tour. Second, I was sick as a dog. I got another cold (my third or fourth this school year), and I was ill for over a week. I finally felt energized and back to my regular self on Monday. Even though I was sick, I was still up and about writing. So, here's my progress in the past two weeks, since my February 15th update.
TWILAMPH: I finished my second round of edits and I'm about to start the third and last round before I send this off to beta readers.
EK: I wrote 2 more chapters, so I'm at 8 chapters done when the outline calls for 25 chapters (originally 24 chapters, but I added one more).

Next, I have a book to give away. Miami author Alex Flinn had a reading and a book signing last weekend, which I attended. I have a signed copy of her latest YA book, BEWITCHING, for a lucky blog follower in the U.S. or Canada. Here's the Goodreads page if you want to read the description of the book.
The contest form is below. Entries close March 6th at 11:59 p.m.

Glad you are feeling better!! And yay for all your wonderful updates - well done you!
Take care

Sounds like you've made good progress despite being sick. The book's voice was great in the blurb. I entered the contest.
I'm glad you're feeling better - and impressed by what you managed to accomplish even when sick!
I'm happy you're feeling better, Medeia!! Good for you for getting some writing done. Keep it up!
It's good to here you're better and back on the ROW. You're putting out the words in spite of feeling under the weather, if you're working on two WIPs. I'm totally trying to figure out a name for TWILAMPH. :-)
Congrats on finishing this round of edits. And so glad to hear you're feeling better, too!
Sorry you were sick but it still sounds like you made great progress.
Hope you feel 100% soon. It sounds like you are still getting things accomplished despite being under the weather.
Thanks for the giveaway, Medeia! Hope you feel better and stay better. This has been a bad year for illness - probably because the germs didn't get iced out! haha.
It's so easy to catch those colds and things when you're a teacher. Hurray for feeling better! I admire how productive you are even when you are sick.
And thank you for another generous give-away.
I never write when I'm sick, so I'm impressed! Thanks for hosting the contest! I'm hosting my first ever contest right now, too (http://www.thefakesteph.com/2012/02/fakestephs-realcontest.html).
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. And another great giveaway? What's the chance that I'll win another? : )
I may be wrong but I thought you lived in Florida, which I always thought was a warm tropical place where it's impossible to get colds. Shows how little I know about the world.
Looks like a great read (BEWITCHING)! Gorgeous cover too. I Tweeted about it. :) Thanks for having the giveaway.
So sorry to hear you were sick, but glad your energy is returning. Take care of yourself!
that BEWITCHING dress would look good even on me :)))))
I loved Cloaked. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
And good luck with your ROW80 goals. I don't know how you work on more than one MS at a time. I've never been able to do that.
Too many people have been getting sick this winter. Hope you are done fighting off colds for awhile!
I agree with a lot of the other people commenting--way too many people have been sick this year. I know it was tearing our home apart for well over a month. Sorry you were suffering the same curse (though it's wonderful you maintained your writing during the time).
Glad you are better now. Do have a question--your contest info says it ends on Feb 6th. Is that what you meant to post?
Glad you're feeling better, Medeia!
And great to hear about your progress!
Wow, how do you bounce back and forth between two books? And when you're sick no less. :)
Glad you're feeling better!
Feeling ill can be a bit of a bummer, but I'm glad you were able to get better. Looks like some great progress being made. Keep it up :-)
Thanks, Old Kitty, Theresa, & Sarah.
Thanks, Laura, Suzanne, & Anne.
Thanks Alex, Nadja, and Brinda. The cough lingers, but other than that I feel good.
Thanks Cyntha and Emily.
I'll check it out, Steph (although I don't need anymore books, lol).
Thanks, Carol & Kelly.
Dezmond, that is one good-looking dress.
Me, too, Alissa.
Thanks, Deniz.
I'd push myself, Stina. Maybe not the best thing since I needed more rest.
Thank you, Angela.
Kymele - Thanks for catching that mistake. I'll fix it. My mind is in February.
Movies - No, we get sick here, too.
Major giveaway faux pas with me putting February instead of March for the closing date.
Thank you again, Kymele!
The book blurb sounds wonderful and great progress!
I couldn't enter yet again!
HOpe you're feeling better. I'm actually sick now. HOrrible bug! Congrats on all the progress you've made. Great giveaway!
May you soon fully recover, Medeia. I hope that you're able to have lots of sleep and hot tea.
I'll have an international giveaway soon, Romance.
Thanks, Nutschell and Stephanie. I feel stronger by the day.
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!
Sorry you've been sick. And I'll be sure to enter the contest!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! Hope you're feeling better. I've been sick too. Just recovering!
I'm sorry you felt bad. :( But it sounds like you are feeling better and making progress.
:)
I tweeted and FB's your contest...the book sounds super!
Wonderful progress! Good luck on that third round of edits; I hope you get great feedback from your betas.

Hope you're feeling better! And kudos for all your progress! I just finished my sixth round of revisions on my WIP and I just don't wanna look at it again for at least a week. lol
Hopefully this will be the last bout of sickness for a while.
I have to say, I can't wait to find out what TWILAMPH stands for - so many letters! I think you should make TWILAMPH the final title to get people trying to figure out what that word could mean.
I’ve been slow in making my rounds, but I’m saying howdy from the YA campaign group.
Hey, Medeia. I gave you an award on my blog today. Stop by to claim it. :)
Glad you're feeling better. And sounds like you've made some great writing progress! Way to go. :)
Thanks, Golden.
Thanks for stopping by, Beth.
Thank you, Ajoop and Sharon. :)
Thanks, Shannon. I'm almost there.
I won't want to look at mine soon, PK.
Good idea, Jocelyn, and thank you for finding me.
Thanks so much, Kelly. I'll check it out.
Thanks, Shallee.
Well done *throws confetti*
hope the next round goes just as well for you
Thanks, Michelle
I"m always impressed at people who forge ahead when they are feeling crummy. Well done you. You must be getting excited that you're so close to some beta reads.
Ah, this is so the time when sickness is just sweeping about. Yearning for spring!
I hope you are feeling strong and positive, M.
Thanks, Leslie. :)
Thanks, Suze. I'm hoping this is my last illness of the school year.
Glad you are feeling better!
Sorry to hear you were under the weather. Here are prayers for your continued (and sustained) perfect health!
Wow you are busy! Good luck with all of your work. And great contest too!
Congrats on your progress, and good luck with your current goals!
Sorry to hear you were sick, Medeia. That's never fun.
